PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY FOR A SOLICITOR

 

After 31 years of practice as a solicitor, I have a large client base, recently made larger by retirement of a senior solicitor who also had a very large client base. I have a busy general solicitor’s practice with an emphasis on small and medium businesses and a growing emphasis on estate planning and administration. I regularly refer litigation matters to others. I have provided legal services to Durham College and UOIT for many years. I would like to work a little less. Eventually I will retire and I need a succession plan for my clients and my business.

My office is located at 95 Simcoe St. South on the edge of downtown Oshawa. It is within walking distance to major banks, restaurants, parks, the library, YMCA and the new courthouse. No smoking is permitted. The office has stair access only. Parking is available nearby at extra cost.

Share Space and Resources

• Please consider sharing a well appointed office with me and my staff.
• This is a good opportunity for one or two lawyers.
• It would work best for a solicitor, but it could work for a non-criminal litigation lawyer.
• I will provide guidance on non-litigious matters.
• Referrals are likely, especially to a solicitor.
• Some staff guidance could also be made available.
• One or two furnished secretarial stations are also available.
• One very large office and one other office are available.
• We would share a receptionist for calls, clients and front office administration.
• We would share a consultation/sign-up room.
• We could possibly share some other staff resources.
• We could possibly share some office equipment and infrastructure.
